Wow I just made the loveliest green smoothie for after my weights session this morning. Filled with protein to repair my muscles, plenty of fibre to keep me full and healthy carbs to energise the rest of my day, it was perfect and so easy to make!
- 1 scoop whey protein powder
- 1/2 a ripe banana
- Large handful of spinach
- 1 cup of unsweetened plain almond milk
- 1 tbsp natural almond butter
- 1 medjool date and 2 regular dates (just added the medjool as its a lot gooier than the normal ones but if you haven’t got any just add an extra regular date)
Put all the ingredients together in a blender, give it a whizz and pour it into your shaker cup with plenty of ice to keep it cool for after the gym.
Tip: I slice ripe bananas and stick them in the freezer so I always have them at hand! Enjoy … X
